We left in the early morning mist at 6:20 to try and limit the amount of hiking in the middle of the day. I've never walked in the low country of Nepal before. And, except for the heat, it's stunningly beautiful. It's luxuriantly green with rich and abundant vegetable fields. They harvest three crops a year: rice in the summer, barley in the fall, and corn in the winter. There's chickens, goats, and cows aplenty. The wild flowers grow everywhere, hanging from trees and resting low to the ground.
